Gwamba gears up for prophetic album launch

Malawian gospel musician Duncan Zgambo alias Gwamba has said he sees his long-awaited prophetic album launch, slated for December 24 at Bingu International Conference Centre (Bicc) in Lilongwe, being a big event.

He said this will be the first event by a Malawian youthful artist to break the record on the country’s gospel scene because he has seen God’s blessings on it.

“It’s by His design that I became a born-again to spread His word and this album is a prophetic mission which will be fulfilled on December 24,” said Gwamba.

Gwamba turned to Jesus Christ last year and announced his switch from secular to gospel music as well. He has been working on his debut gospel album called Jesus Is My Boss, which officially launches on December 24.

Produced by youthful producers DJ Sley, BFB and Tricky Beatz, Jesus Is My Boss is 12-track album which features some songs like Better, Alleluyah and Mfumu Kumwamba.

According to one of the producers, DJ Sley, Jesus Is My Boss is a diverse album with mature sound.

Said DJ Sley: “We have tried to give the sound a sort of balance and uniqueness. It’s for both the young and the old generation.”

Gwamba said preparations are currently underway for the launch.

“I am ready for the launch, but preparations are still underway. It will be a great night to remember because we are putting up a great design,” said Gwamba, promising that the launch will be on international standard.

Gwamba revealed that  Onesimus and Ethel Kamwendo Banda as guest artists and wiill also be supported by Thocco Katimba, James Nee and Emm Q.
